epiCentre stores information in a SQL Server database which is provisioned by IT support in the participating organisation/health service. The database for epiCentre contains personally identifying information and clinical information, however the following points should be noted: a) all personally identifying information is encrypted in the database, and only decrypted in the client application; and b) the suppliers of the epiCentre software (ePPOC) have no access to the epiCentre database as it is managed by the IT support of the participating organisation/health service.

epiCentre provides an extract function in order submit non-identified clinical information to ePPOC. No personally identifying information is included in this extract.
