New install

To install epiCentre for the first time at a service that does not have any epiCentre users:

1. Determine how you're going to set up the database
   1. If epiCentre will setup the database for you, proceed with the steps below
   2. If you want to setup the database manually via scripts, please go to the scripts instructions page before continuing with the steps on this page
2. Please ensure that you have .Net Framework 4.6 or higher installed before attempting to run the epiCentre installation. Any computer with Windows 10 will have it installed by default
3. Go to the epiCentre download page
4. Click on the Download button
   1. This will start the download of the latest version of epiCentre
5. After the download is completed, unzip the file
6. Run the setup.exe file and follow the instruction it provides
7. If you've already setup the database via scripts, please return to the scripts instructions page and continue following the directions OR
8. If you plan on using the Database Configuration Wizard to create your database, please go to the related knowledge base page and continue following the directions
9. epiCentre requires access to the REDCap server at the University of Wollongong. Please ensure the url is whitelisted in your firewall
   1. https://eppoc.ahsri.uow.edu.au/redcap/
   2. If you require a proxy connection instead, please follow the steps in How do I check/change my proxy details?
      1. Please note that proxy details are saved in the config file and are therefore per machine
10. Please ensure you send ePPOC a copy of the config file for safekeeping

To install epiCentre for the first time on a computer at a service that already has epiCentre users:

1. Please ensure that you have .Net Framework 4.6 or higher installed before attempting to run the epiCentre installation. Any computer with Windows 10 will have it installed by default
2. Go to the epiCentre download page
3. Click on the Download button
   1. This will start the download of the latest version of epiCentre
4. After the download is completed, unzip the file
5. Run the setup.exe file and follow the instruction it provides
6. Copy the configuration file from an existing installation to the computer of the new installation
   1. By default, the file is located at C:\epiCentre and will be named epiCentre.config
