Database Configuration Wizard appears when starting epiCentre
This help article assumes that epiCentre is an established system at your service. If you're installing for the first time, please see the installation guide.
The Database Configuration Wizard showing means that either the configuration file is missing, or that the values are not valid.
- Check the configuration path and ensure that the configuration file exists
- The default configuration path is C:\epiCentre, and the file name is epiCentre.config
- If the epiCentre folder doesn't exist, it is possible that your IT service has changed the path from the default during the installation process
- Check that you are connected to your network as expected (i.e. are there any cables disconnected, if your wifi working)
- Contact your IT department, with your config file handy, and check if there have been any changes to your ability to access the database
- Was the database moved?
- Was the database renamed?
- Were the database users changed?
- Please note, these are not the user accounts within epiCentre
- Is the database behind any extra layer of security that would keep your computer from being able to access it?
