palCentre is a software program that has been purpose built for services participating in PCOC. It has been designed as an easy to use tool for services to collect information about patients, the interventions they receive and their outcomes. palCentre writes data to a SQL database that can be accessed simultaneously by multiple installations/computers. There are 2 options for the type of SQL database that can be used. These are:
- SQL server database - if your service already has an SQL server database, this is the preferred option for installation
- SQL Compact database - this method can be used if your service does not have an SQL server available to be used.
palCentre has the following dependences which are included in the installation file sent from PCOC.
- Visual C++ 2005
- Visual C++ 2005 Update
- Crystal Reports
- SQL compact server (only required if using an SQL compact database)
The palCentre software is replacing SNAPshot which is the original software used for PCOC data entry. If you are upgrading from SNAPshot to palCentre for the first time, you will need to migrate the data across from SNAPshot to palCentre once you have setup the database.
To begin installation - you will receive a link with all the required installers from PCOC. If you have not received this link, please contact Alanna Connolly on (02) 4221 5640 or Sam Burns on (02) 4298 1141.
