  • epiCentre stores information in a SQL Server database which is provisioned by IT support in the participating organisation/health service. The database for epiCentre contains personally identifying information and clinical information, however the following points should be noted: a) all personally identifying information is encrypted in the database, and only decrypted in the client application; and b) the ePPOC team have no access to the epiCentre database as it is managed by the IT support of the participating organisation/health service.
    • The encryption key for the data is also generated by the IT team at the participating organisation/health service and is not provided to ePPOC.
  • epiCentre provides an extract function in order to submit non-identified clinical information to ePPOC via ePPOC's web portal . No personally identifying information is included in this extract.
  • epiCentre connects to a REDCap server hosted and managed at the University of Wollongong. No personally identifying information is gathered in REDCap and there is no way to match a patient to a questionnaire without also having access to the epiCentre database that requested the questionnaire.
