What is the difference between archived and deleted?
What is the difference between archived and deleted?
The difference between archived and deleted patients matters only for reporting. Both types of patients are not displayed on the default list of patients but:
- An archived patient, and all the data linked to them, is extracted and reported on. Clinicians should only archive patients that have been using their service but have since been discharged and are no longer wanted on the list. Archived patients are greyed out.
- A deleted patient is not extracted. A patient should only be deleted if they were created by mistake or were created for testing purposes. Deleted patients are in pink.
